The Board of Directors of the Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA), in consultation with the Cabinet Secretary for Cooperatives and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, has announced the appointment of CPA David Amiani Sandagi as the Acting Chief Executive Officer, effective 18th August 2025.
CPA Sandagi assumes the role following the completion of the term of the outgoing CEO, CPA Peter Njuguna, EBS.
A seasoned professional, CPA Sandagi is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and a Certified Expert in Financial Inclusion (CEFI). He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Banking. He is also an alumnus of the Senior Leadership Development Programme (SLDP) and a Certified Professional Coach (CPC).
The Authority expressed confidence that CPA Sandagi’s extensive expertise and leadership background will play a key role in steering SASRA’s mandate of regulating and supervising the Sacco sector in Kenya.
