Biashara Board of Directors declared payment of dividends on shares at a rate of 18 percent and interest on deposits at 12 percent. The Sacco, which has 10 branches, two satellite offices, and 70 Agency banking agents, has a membership of over 115,000 and 198 employees.
The Sacco total asset rose by 19.7 percent growth from KSh 1.729 billion to Ksh 2.07 billion. Simultaneously, the loan book jumped to Ksh 1.56 billion from Ksh 1.37 billion, a 15 percent increase. In total, the Sacco gave out loans worth Ksh 1.69 within the year, which significantly helped members keep their business running.
