The Kenya National Police Deposit-Taking SACCO is actively promoting the National Tree Planting Culture by implementing tree planting exercises across the country through their Corporate Social Responsibility programmes.
In a recent event, the SACCO National Chairman David Mategwa and the Board of Directors hosted the Cabinet Secretary for Cooperatives and Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Development Hon Simon Chelugui for a tree planting session named “10,000+ Trees for Change” at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations – DCI Headquarters. Others present during the SACO event include Co-operatives PS Patrick Kilemi Deputy Director Nicholas Kamwende, Senior Officers National Police Service, CEO Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority. Peter Njuguna, among other guests.
The SACCO is committed to combating climate change and making the world a better place. This initiative is in line with President William Ruto’s directive to the Ministry of Interior to mobilize public drive for national tree planting, with a target of planting 15 million trees annually.
The Kenya National Police Deposit-Taking SACCO is not only empowering its members for a better quality of life but also contributing to the community through its CSR programmes, which include constructing schools, building a stadium, and sponsoring students to achieve their educational dreams.
