The Kenya National Police DT SACCO has handed over a state-of-the-art gymnasium to the National Police College – Main Campus in Kiganjo. This project, funded by the SACCO, was officially opened by FCPA Hon Wycliffe A. Oparanya, EGH, the Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Co-operatives and MSMEs. He was accompanied by Mr. Patrick Kilemi, the Principal Secretary of the State Department of Cooperatives; Acting Deputy Inspector General Mr. Patrick Tito; College Commandant Mr. Nyale Munga; and Deputy Commandant Madam Easter Wangeci.
The SACCO team, led by National Chairman Mr. David Sohelo Mategwa and CEO Mr. Solomon Angutsa, along with the Board of Directors, expressed their commitment to building better communities.
Construction of the gymnasium began on April 6, 2024, and was completed on December 11, 2024. The SACCO spearheaded the project, overseeing the construction, equipping, and branding of the facility.
This gymnasium is more than just a building; it represents an investment in the health, wellness, and morale of police officers.
