Solution Sacco to plant 30,000 trees

Solution Sacco is leading the charge to plant over 30,000 trees by the end of this year in partnership with members, schools and communities it serves. The initiative spans all branches and satellite offices and is a fundamental part of the Sacco’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) mission to promote a culture of conserving the environment.

As Mr Francis Rimberia, the Sacco Board Chairman, stated, climate change has been adversely affecting communities. The organization has been planting trees annually to combat the issue, and they encourage everyone to join the initiative by planting trees as well.

The 30,000 trees target coincides with Solution Sacco’s 30th anniversary. Recently, the Sacco celebrated its successes in improving the social and economic status of thousands of its members.

In addition to the tree planting campaign, Solution Sacco runs educational programs that enable students to acquire quality education and change their socioeconomic status. The Sacco has partnered with schools, the National Government, County Governments, and various stakeholders to empower communities and promote sustainable development.

The Sacco Board also plans to increase budgetary allocation to education programs, reaching needier families and supporting related educational activities. The Society has set up a foundation that will put a lot of effort into achieving its CSR vision and mission.

As Mr Rimberia emphasized, “Education is the backbone of every Society in this world, but quality education still remains a dream for many. As Solution Sacco, we want to ensure needy and bright students achieve their education dreams.” Together, we can create a brighter future for everyone by preserving our environment and investing in education.
