Universal Traders Sacco has played a significant role in empowering its members to become asset owners.
Mrs. Jennifer Mutheu (pictured below) and Mr. Reuben Malika, who started a bar and restaurant business in Mutituni market, Kangundo, Machakos County, have seen their dreams turn into reality with the help of the SACCO.
They joined UTS in 2004 and later expanded their business with the support of loans from the SACCO. They were able to purchase the property they were renting and even constructed lodgings, which further boosted their income.
Their success story is just one of many that have inspired other members, such as Mr. Daniel Mogoti (above), to pursue their dreams of property ownership. Mr. Mogoti, a casual worker, has been inspired by the success stories within the SACCO and has set his sights on constructing a house in Mlolongo. With his determination and the support of UTS, he aims to turn his dream into reality. He has already utilized SACCO products like the Upesi loan and has seen the positive impact they can have on his family’s well-being.
Like Mrs. Jennifer and Mr. Reuben, he is committed to improving his economic status and owning property, thanks to the guidance and support provided by UTS.
