Kenya’s highest Sacco saver has over Sh100 million in their account. This is according to the Nairobi County Director of Co-operatives Dolphin Aremo.
Alone this saver could qualify as a regulated Sacco under the new Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) rules for non-deposit-taking Saccos.
Savings and Credit Co-operatives with more than Sh100 million members’ deposits are now regulated by SASRA.
