New KCC Runyenjes Milk Cooling Plant will be upgraded into a fully-fledged Milk Processing Factory, Co-operatives and MSMEs Cabinet Secretary Simon Chelugui has said. The plant has a processing capacity of 100,000 litres per day.
“Expansion and modernization of the dairy sector is one of the areas that the government is targeting to spur growth and ensure that farmers reap maximum benefits of their hard work. We have set the ball rolling and I want to assure our farmers and all stakeholders in the sector of our full support,” said the CS during a tour of the milk cooling plant in Embu County.
