The Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) has officially announced the deadline for all regulated Sacco societies to submit their audited financial statements. This requirement is in accordance with Section 41 of the Sacco Societies Act.
In a recent communication to Sacco Boards, Supervisory Committees, management, and auditors, SASRA has stipulated that the submission period will run from January 1 to March 15, 2026.
“Early submission enables timely approval and smooth conduct of Annual General Meetings (AGMs),” the notice states.
The authority encourages all Saccos to adhere to this timeline to ensure compliance and promote transparency within the sector.
