With over eight years in sales and marketing, Mr Ng’ang’a says there is a need for any business to better its relationship with its customers. “The whole thing of helping organizations build strong bonds with their customers has come from the fact that we are operating from a very competitive business environment. And a lot of organizations are struggling to operate. With too much competition, organizations need to stand out. The way to stand out against your competitor is the way you treat your customer.”

Afrinet Telecom’s bulk SMS solution allows Saccos to send notifications to members reliably enabling them to plan accordingly and avoid inconveniences. 

“We believe continuous communication nurtures good customer relationships and our solutions are perfectly fitted for the job,” says Mr Ng’ang’a. 

 “We have enabled some of our clients such as water companies significantly reduce the cost delivering bills from a high of Ksh20 to less than Ksh1,” says the CEO. Afrinet not only enables firms to reach customers but also get their feedback to make informed decisions.

The firm, which is based at Spur Mall along Thika road, has developed a system that Saccos can use to carry out feedback surveys and thus strengthen customer satisfaction.

 “There are several options in the market, but very few organizations give the kind of support that Saccos need as we do at Afrinet Telecom,” he notes, adding that: “It is one thing to sell a solution to a Sacco, but it is another thing to support a Sacco. Saccos are financial institutions with very sensitive operations. Afrinet goes a mile a head to support Saccos, our SMS platform is very robust and able to deliver messages instantly without delays”. 

The CEO said their Bulk SMS and Customer Survey solutions are integrated into Sacco’s core banking system and use One Time Password SMS so successfully that members get messages instantly while still at their branches.

Mr Ng’ang’a, a Kenyatta University graduate with Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Economics and a Master’s in Strategic Management, notes that communication should not just be about delivering the message but also nurturing strong relationships, establishing loyal customers and retaining them, which leads to business growth.
