Cooperative Alliance of Kenya (CAK) has organized training on taxation, cybercrime risks, and preventions in Machakos scheduled for mid-September this year.
CAK says cooperatives are increasingly facing the threat of cyber-attacks as they embrace technology as a means of delivering services.
“The Cooperative sector is also facing tax compliance issues with the ever-changing tax legislation as the government seeks to raise revenues,” reads a letter from CAK inviting top Sacco leaders, managers, and heads of department to the training.
PWC Kenya will conduct the training, and Members of the ICPAK professional body will be awarded CPD Units upon successful completion of the training.
The training will cover the following topic, among others: Emerging Cyber-crime risks, Detection of Cyber-crime risks, Mitigation of Cyber-crime risks, and Accounting for taxes in Sacco books and Tax changes in Kenya for Saccos.
