CIC insurance group has appointed Fred Ruoro as the new Managing Director effective from 4th January 2021. Ruoro previously served as the firm’s General Manager in charge of Medical Business. Before joining CIC he worked at UAP-Old Mutual as a Business Development Manager.
Ruoro holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and physics from the University of Nairobi and he is also a certified insurance professional from the Australian and New Zealand institute of insurance and finance according to a press release from the firm.
He also holds a Diploma in Management Accounting from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and is a member of Insurance Institute of Kenya.
His appointment has been approved by the Insurance Regulatory Authority.
“Fred has demonstrated and proven track record for driving business and providing leadership to his team,” said CIC.
