KEPSA urges Kenyans to resume their nation-building activities

The Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) has urged all Kenyans to go back to work and resume their nation-building activities as the country strives to recover and rebuild from the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, drought, and challenges such as the ongoing war in Ukraine and rising global inflation, all that has led to a higher cost of living not only for Kenya.

In a statement, KEPSA Chief Executive Officer Carole Kariuki, said Kenyans have a duty now after the elections to continue building the country. “Let’s get back to work and to our businesses.”

She said the country witnessed a peaceful general election in Kenya’s history and commended citizens and all political leaders for “a milestone in our democratic maturity.”

“Peace is the cornerstone for a thriving economy and business environment. Kenyans have been patient so far, this marks a new milestone in Kenya’s democratic history,” said Kariuki.

She noted that the business community has confidence in this country and in its Justice System.

KEPSA is the apex body of the private sector in Kenya. It brings together local and foreign business associations, chambers of commerce, professional bodies, corporates, multinational companies, start-ups, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from all sectors of the economy in the country, representing over 1 million businesses under one umbrella, to enable them to speak in one voice

when engaging the Government, development partners and other stakeholders on cross-cutting policy issues affecting private sector development.

KEPSA serves as a federation of over 80 Associations and professional bodies and serves as the focal point of the East Africa Business Council (EABC) which is the apex body of businesses in East Africa.
