NewFortis Savings and Credit Co-operative Society Limited has announced that it will hold delegates’ elections between September 19 and September 26, 2026, across all its electoral zones.
In a notice dated September 3, 2026, the SACCO said members seeking election as delegates must meet a number of eligibility requirements outlined in the society’s by-laws.
Among the requirements, candidates must have been members of the SACCO for at least 48 months, maintain non-withdrawable deposits of not less than KSh300,000 above average savings, and have a minimum share capital of KSh20,000.
Candidates must also meet the minimum qualifications stipulated under Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, be members in good standing with their loan repayments and deposits up to date, and channel their salaries and other monthly payments through the SACCO.
Interested members have been asked to collect nomination forms from the SACCO offices and return them by September 14, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. for clearance.
Members participating in the elections have also been requested to carry their original identity cards and latest payslips. The SACCO said the venues for the elections will be communicated after the completion of the vetting process and other logistical arrangements.
The elections are expected to enable members across NewFortis SACCO’s electoral zones to choose delegates to represent them in the Society’s governance structures.
